McKenzie County Healthcare Systems, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Pharmacist to join our team! McKenzie County Healthcare Systems has an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for a Hospital Pharmacist! McKenzie County Healthcare Systems consists of a Critical Access Hospital, Surgical Department, Rural Health Clinic, Nursing Home and Assisted Living, all located on one campus, in beautiful western North Dakota. Our newly constructed, state of the art facility is a "shining star" in rural North Dakota and we provide quality care to the residents of McKenzie County and beyond.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
- Act as a drug information resource to all patients and staff.
- Interpret physician prescriptions and medication orders.
- Monitor patient profiles to confirm accuracy, drug allergies, drug interactions, etc. are correct and being adhered to.
- Ensure MCHS’ pharmaceutical program is fully compliant with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher
- Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in North Dakota or eligible to reciprocate
- Two plus years hospital experience preferred but not required
- Courteous, professional service to patients and staff
- Good written and verbal communication skills
