What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney (Guardianship) position at Mcnees Wallace & Nurick?
McNees Wallace & Nurick is seeking an Attorney to join our growing Litigation Group with a primary focus on Guardianship Law. This position can be hybrid or remote within driving distance to our Harrisburg, PA and Lancaster, PA locations. This opportunity is a staff attorney, non-member track position.
In this role, the successful candidate will be an integral part of our Litigation Group, focusing on all aspects of guardianship law and other various litigation matters initiated for the protection of Pennsylvania’s vulnerable citizens. This includes representing clients in complex guardianship proceedings and other proceedings brought to protect at-risk individuals, defending clients who are undergoing challenges to their guardianship role or actions taken as guardian, and advising fiduciary clients on their guardianship powers and duties under existing and developing laws throughout the Commonwealth.
Desired Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with licensure in PA
- A minimum of 2-5 years of litigation experience, with significant experience in guardianship law
- Proven courtroom experience and advocacy skills
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
