Position Overview
The Quality Control Project Manager (QC PM) ensures electrical work across our large-scale projects—particularly hyperscale data centers—is installed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with all design and code standards. This role is responsible for auditing prefabricated assemblies and on-site installation, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, safety, and security requirements. The QC PM will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Field Leadership, and Prefabrication teams to prevent issues before they arise and ensure continuous improvement.
This position requires a strong technical background in commercial electrical construction, a deep understanding of project lifecycles, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications. The right candidate will be a boots-on-the-ground problem solver with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
· Audit prefabricated electrical assemblies and on-site installation for code compliance, build accuracy, and constructability
· Participate in project start-up and closeout activities to ensure quality is addressed throughout the project lifecycle
· Collaborate with Field Supervision, Engineering, Prefabrication, and Project Management teams to drive quality expectations and corrective actions
· Conduct jobsite walkthroughs and documentation of findings; provide feedback and solutions for improvement
· Interpret and validate electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals; ensure field installations align with approved documents
· Evaluate work for adherence to project schedule, quality milestones, and customer requirements
· Enforce and uphold safety, security, and access protocols at hyperscale and secure job sites
· Help train field teams and foremen on quality standards and lessons learned from other projects
· Serve as a trusted resource to our field and prefab teams—driving quality through support, not blame
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience in commercial electrical installation
· 5 years in a Quality Control, Electrical Foreman, or Project Management role in large-scale commercial or industrial electrical construction
· Experience working on hyperscale projects
· Deep technical understanding of electrical systems, NEC, and installation methods
· Familiarity with electrical prefabrication workflows and their impact on project success
· Ability to read, interpret, and redline electrical drawings, one-lines, and schematics
· Comfortable navigating and physically active on construction job sites (climbing ladders, walking uneven terrain, etc.)
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—able to give direct, constructive feedback professionally
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management tools
· Willingness to travel daily to active project sites across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Preferred Qualifications
· Electrical Master or Journeyman license (MD, VA, or DC)
