What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty – Biology position at MCPHS?
The School of Arts and Sciences seeks adjunct faculty to teach biology lab courses for the upcoming spring semester (Spring 2024). Lab courses include first-year college biology and second-year microbiology.
- Delivers laboratory instruction
- Communicates with lab coordinators in a professional and timely manner in preparation for teaching.
- Comes prepared to teach, including reviewing background content, lab protocols, instructor notes, videos, etc
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of lab materials
- Grades assignments in a timely manner
- Replies to emails from students, lab coordinators, and administrators in a timely manner
- Uses the University’s learning management system to enter grades
- Assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by Zoom/Teams, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
- Supports incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion in the curriculum
