MD Analytics is a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical market research agency with a newly launched and rapidly growing U.S. division. Over the past two decades, MD Analytics has grown to be one of the largest and most respected research agencies in Canada, being recognized for exceptional quality in reporting and client services.


In 2020, the company announced its expansion into the U.S. market and is in the process of growing its U.S. based research team. To support this growth, we are seeking a Research Associate to support quantitative and qualitative market research studies in the healthcare or pharmaceutical categories.


The Opportunity: Research Associate


Reporting directly to the Vice President, Client Services you will be responsible for market research projects throughout the project lifecycle. Key areas of focus include quality control for scripting, managing qualitative and quantitative fieldwork, creating data table/analysis plans, overseeing the set-up of data tables & coding, doing basic statistical analyses (where applicable) and report development. As you grow in this role, you will be collaborating in the development of screeners, discussion guides, survey questionnaires and report headlines and commentary.


MD Analytics is also a leader in remote work. The company transitioned all employees to fully remote positions in 2017. Candidates for this position should be comfortable working full-time from home while adequately managing potential distractions and be willing to engage in a well-established remote work company culture.


The Ideal Candidate: Requirements and Experience


  • Knowledge of research and statistical methods
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage time
  • A university degree is required; a focus in marketing, health sciences, statistics, or other relevant discipline is preferred
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proven skills in critical thinking, keen attention to detail, meeting or exceeding deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; familiarity in SPSS or other equivalent statistical software packages an asset
