Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: General Summary: Participates in the administration of the Infection Prevention & Control Program to include all the facilities included in Holy Cross Health. Under the direction of the Director of Infection Prevention & Control, assists in the development, implementation, and coordination of the efforts of staff, physicians, students and contract employees in the prevention and control of infections and infectious diseases. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing, epidemiology, public health, medical technology, or another related field. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant experience. Previous experience working in an acute care clinical setting for two years. Must indicate an interest in and be able to participate in continued education related to hospital epidemiology. Ability to effectively teach adults in a formal and informal setting. Ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and electronically. Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Cerner. Project management experience preferred. Must demonstrate an ability to communicate and work with persons of diverse background. Must be able to implement evidence-based guidelines and policies.
