Responsibilities
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm is looking for an entry-level civil engineer to join our transportation group. Responsibilities include prepare final plans, specifications, and estimates; assist and/or lead the preparation of design reports; perform geometric design and other design tasks for roadway improvement projects; assist in monitoring project schedules; perform construction inspection on highway and bridge projects;. A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or the ability to obtain the degree within nine months of hire date.
The ideal candidate will have experience in any of the following:
* Design/Drafting software (Microstation/Civil 3D)
* Transportation projects including the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local agency
* MS Office suite of software
* Effectively communicating both verbally and written with clients and colleagues
* Collaborating in a team environment
* Prioritizing and balancing multiple commitments
* Highway design tasks
