What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Associate position at Mead Lumber?
At Heartland Building Center, a Mead Lumber Company, one of our six Core Values is “Unmatched Customer Service." As a Paint Associate, you will be on the front lines of making that happen. Through your interactions, you will inform and assist customers with the products and solutions they need for their home, yard, or business.
We are looking for dynamic and energized candidates interested in providing excellent customer service as a paint associate. Paint associate duties include helping customers determine what they need, mix paint according to the customer's specifications, answer phone calls, and operate the cash register.
- Understand and fulfill customer requests appropriately.
- Direct customers to the correct product to complete their projects.
- Previous experience working with paint and coatings is appreciated, but not required.
- Maintain the paint section of the store and keep the area clean and presentable.
- Answer phone calls.
- Ability to operate a cash register.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Professional.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Willing to learn.
- Has a positive attitude and good customer service skills.
- Willing to work as a team.
