Wound care Registered Nurse RN Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements a comprehensive Wound Care program in the facility which includes; care protocol, documentation process, and Wound Care formulary
- Directs clinical staff in assessing wounds and following the proper documentation process every step of the way
- Provides accurate assessments and numbers to the DON on a weekly basis for reporting
- Conducts on-going survey using Center of Disease Control (CDC) infection criteria, documentation, and investigation of acquired infections
- Performs other related job duties as required
- Responsible for weekly wound rounds and wound management coordination as well as care plan development, updates and revisions for nursing care plans as well as coordination the care plan meetings.
Wound Care Registered Nurse RN Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing is required
- RN License in the State of NY
- Wound Care Certification required
