$150 sign-on bonus
$250 bonus after 90-day probationary period
$250 bonus after 6 months
Reports To: Infant Lead Teacher
Cares for infants / toddlers / preschoolers by performing the following duties and responsibilities below.
Requirements:
Each infant teacher’s aide will need minimum a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required, and prior early childhood and / or infant care experience is required.
- Infant teachers’ aides will need to enroll in at least 9 ECE units, 3 ECE units should be for infant/toddler care to be alone with the children.
- Meaningful Beginnings offers tuition reimbursement and a bonus if core classes are completed within 1 year of employment.
Certificates and Licenses:
- CPR & First Aid certification required after hiring and must be maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Feed’s infants / toddlers / preschooler according to an established schedule.
- Serves meals and refreshments as directed by infant / toddler / preschooler Teacher.
- Changes infant / toddler / preschooler’s diapers or clothes as needed, adhering to always appropriate diapering procedure so include assuring the cleanliness of work areas and proper disposal of diapers.
- Plays with infants / toddlers to stimulate growth, according to daily routines.
- Cradles and cuddles infants / toddlers as needed.
- Informs teachers of infant / toddler / preschooler behavior and achievements.
- Prepares infant / toddler / preschoolers for departure and arrival.
- Maintains safety and health standards.
- Adheres to work schedule and daily routines.
- Greets children and parents/guardians in a professional and enthusiastic manner each day.
- Interacts with infants / toddlers through instructional methods, to include play, music, arts and crafts, reading, writing, computer, and physical activities.
- Assists infants / toddlers as necessary to enhance learning and developmental skills.
- Assists the Teacher in maintaining and implementing educational curriculum of infant room or classroom. Assists in preparation of lesson plans.
- Remains aware of talents, special abilities, disabilities, deficiencies, or problems of each individual child.
- Promotes and fosters each infant / toddler / preschooler’s positive self-esteem and individual development toward their fullest potential in the areas of physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Assists children with general hygiene practices including bathroom and cleanliness needs.
- Shares pertinent information with co-workers on a regular basis.
- Maintains a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, co-workers, and parents / guardians.
- Participates in required training programs, conferences, courses, or other aspects of professional growth.
- Attends parent / guardian, and staff meetings as scheduled.
- Washes and inspects children’s toys daily or more often as needed, for sanitary and safety related concerns.
- Maintains work areas in a sanitary and attractive manner to include, but not limited to sanitizing highchairs, tables, microwave, kitchen counter tops and sinks after feedings and at the end of each day.
- Reports any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the appropriate party for follow through.
- Adheres to all established policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
