At Med Excellence, we are seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our dedicated healthcare team in Grundy, Virginia. Our facility prioritizes patient care and professional growth, offering a supportive environment with an engaging team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hospitalist coverage from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with night call from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Manage daily patient census of 9-10, with an average of 1 nightly admission
- Utilize EMR-CPSI for patient documentation and management
- Respond to night admissions as necessary while not required to return on-site
- Collaborate with specialty coverages including General Surgery, Cardiology, Urology, and Pulmonology
- Participate in procedures as preferred, such as intubations and central line placements
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Virginia medical license is required; IMLC accepted
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications at the time of application
- Clean background with no history of malpractice
- Availability for 7 on/7 off shifts is mandatory
- Proof of COVID vaccination status is required
