Medical Assistant Responsibilities – Clinical & Administrative

• Obtain and document patient vitals, assist with EKGs, and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Administer intramuscular (IM) injections according to protocols and competency.
• Prepare laboratory order forms and track patient lab results with accuracy.
• Support physicians or mid-level practitioners with patient referrals and care coordination.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential patient records within the EMR system.
• Perform front office duties, including greeting patients, answering multi-line phone systems, and ensuring smooth clinic workflow.
• Assist with insurance verifications and benefits (VOB) as required.
• Monitor clinical and office supply inventory and notify leadership of needs.
• Contribute to clinic marketing initiatives and positive patient experiences.
• Train additional staff on daily tasks or processes at the direction of the office manager or clinical leadership.
  
  

Ideal Candidate – Skills & Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification (required).
• Hands-on experience with EKGs and phlebotomy (preferred).
• Knowledge of front office procedures, insurance, and VOB is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a patient-focused setting.
• Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a clinic or healthcare office (preferred but not required).
• Comfort with EMR systems and technology.
• Team-oriented, motivated, and eager to contribute to a collaborative culture.

Tuesday: 8 AM-5:30 PM

Wednesday: 7:30 AM-1:30 PM

Thursday: 8 AM-5:30 PM

Friday: 7:30 AM-2:30 PM

Saturday: 7:30 AM-12:30 PM
