Description
The Certified Nurse Aide provides personal care and related services and functions in a supportive relationship to professional disciplines and may function as an extension of these professional services with appropriate supervision and specialized hospice training. The CNA works under the direction, instruction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or appropriate supervisor. Tasks of the Certified Nurse Aide will be assigned by and performed under the direct supervision of an RN who will be responsible for the patient care to be provided by the Home Health. The Certified Nurse Aide needs empathetic communication skills, be flexible, and have respect for the patients privacy and property. A positive attitude is a must, dependable techniques in personal hygiene, good observation skills, reliability, and an understanding of the team concept.
Qualifications
This position requires at least the following minimum requirements:
- Prefer 1-2 years of health care experience.
- Leadership skills (ability to take charge; set objectives; drive to results; team player).
- Skillful in organization of work and in principles of time management.
- Ability to contribute to the quality of care being rendered through constructive communication with primary care staff.
- Good communication skills and ability to establish good rapport with other staff members.
- Demonstrated ability to work with patients and employees. Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
Driving & Other Requirements
Must have and maintain a valid state driver license, have a registered and reliable vehicle that meets state law standards, and meets the insurance standards of company.
