The Business Office at Medical Associates is seeking a full-time, Insurance Clerk. The position assists patients with insurance questions and forms to assure accurate billing. We are seeking individuals who enjoy detailed, focused, and independent work while working alongside a great team!
Schedule: 40 hours/week. Mon-Fri alternating week 1: 6:30am-3:30pm, week 2: 8:00am-5:00pm. Full benefits position!
Location: This is an onsite position located at Medical Associates East Campus.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three months to one year of similar or related experience. Customer Service experience required, insurance knowledge preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Job Description Details:
- Review, update, or obtain patient information making necessary changes to ensure correct billing.
- Register new patients in person or over the telephone. Follow up with the welcome call.
- Accept payment for copays, non-covered services, date of service payments, and balance individual cash drawer.
- Perform clerical skills for the daily operation of the department.
- Assist patients and insurance companies with questions and forms.
- Audit accounts and issue refunds.
- Review claims prior to submission for correct data.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
