Medical Associates Clinic is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team.

Schedule: Full-time days, working between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Some flexibility with scheduled hours.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct medical care to skilled and long-term nursing home patients under the direction of supervising physician; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, establishing diagnosis, and initiating treatment plans.
- Proactively manage care to ensure appropriate levels of medical management. Provide patient education to promote wellness and support disease management process within the skilled patient care model.
- Communicate with the patient’s primary care provider and specialists on plan of care.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience preferred. Primary care experience preferred.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree. Must be a licensed ARNP or PA.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills: Self-motivated and result-driven practitioner.
