In the role of Librarian II you will be working in the Research Office. Purpose The Office of Research helps to facilitate life-saving biomedical research at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Nine distinct units provide specialized support to meet the administrative needs of our investigators and research staff. Together we coordinate, regulate, and monitor research studies as well as provide high quality services for investigative teams. The MCW Libraries supports all institutional missions and partners by providing access to and support for information resources, and specialized services for faculty, researchers, students, clinicians, staff, and community members. The Clinical Medical Librarian position at Froedtert Hospital collaborates with and supports clinicians at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Health, assisting in the planning, coordination and promotion of the library's resources and services to clinical departments and clinicians located at Froedtert. The Librarian collaborates with and supports clinical professionals, students, and staff on clinical care and research teams. Additionally, the Librarian develops and delivers information skills training and library services to support clinical research, patient care, and teaching and learning. This is an on-site role with a primary work location at Froedtert Hospital. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of academic libraries operations. Experience with health sciences resources and knowledge of health information. Experience with developing and delivering in-person and virtual instruction. Ability to work with diverse individuals across the institution to foster inclusion and belonging, particularly as it relates to providing information services. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to successfully adapt to and manage change. Ability to identify and overcome obstacles to getting the work done. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to solve problems logically.

Position Requirements:
Specifications Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Master's Degree or higher in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution, or equivalent Minimum Required Experience: 2 years of related experience, preferably in a clinical/hospital setting Field of Study: Healthcare, Education, Library Services Certification: Medical Library Association Academy of Health Information Professionals credentials preferred Why MCW?
