Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient evaluations.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Administer medications, injections, as needed.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with the Medical Board of California, Federal and HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives as required.
- Stay current with advancements in medical practices and technologies relevant to family medicine.
Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as AdvancedMD, Cerner, Epic, etc.
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical documentation.
- Familiarity with various medical procedures.
- Expertise in managing acute pain, behavioral health issues, geriatrics, pediatrics, and chronic disease management.
- Knowledge of current federal DEA control substance prescribing and documentation requirements. Cures.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients from diverse backgrounds.
