About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Hoover Health Center. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Certification as a medical assistant
- Experience with insurance billing and coding
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate medical staff
- Entering patients in the Meditech system.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails, scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Assist medical staff with administrative tasks, such as preparing medical reports and correspondence
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and medical equipment, and order new supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all medical and office policies and procedures
Skills:
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will utilize your strong organizational and communication skills to manage administrative tasks and ensure the smooth operation of the office.
