Clinical Nurse Consultant-RN
Medicalodges, Inc., is looking for a Clinical Nurse consultant who travels to Medicalodges facilities in the Southeast Kansas region and works with clinical staff. The Clinical Nurse Consultant is responsible for assisting leadership and staff in providing quality care to residents and fair treatment to employees, vendors and other business and healthcare partners/providers through participation in and utilization of Medicalodges, Inc. Job Responsibilities:
- Review facility quality measures and quality data, assist facility leadership in the development of performance improvement programs, action plans and review outcomes in relation to established benchmarks.
- Assist facility leadership and staff in maintaining compliance with legal procedures, nursing laws, state and federal regulations and Medicalodges, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Acts as a nurse mentor and advisor to facility management by being available for consultation and keeping current with medical and nursing care processes and will perform onsite review of resident care and services on a routine basis and as requested to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Medicalodges, Inc. policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing as a registered nurse
- Five years experience in long-term care, two years experience in a nurse management position in long-term care
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact and communicate with others effectively and professionally
- Possess strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to travel
