What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Inspector position at Medivant Healthcare?
Responsible for visually inspecting filled product off the filling line following Standard OperatingProcedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP). The visual inspector will work in the Production Department, including cleanroom manufacturing area and packaging areas and therefore must be knowledgeable of procedures and equipment in each area.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Visually inspects products for various defects.
- Documents work accurately and timely.
- Complies with current SOP’s and cGMP’s.
- Sets-up, adjusts, and operates equipment such as inspection machines, etc.
- Performs and documents critical start-up procedures for manufacturing, inspection and packaging operations such as filter integrity test, line clearance, component verif ication, etc.
- Performs and documents quality checks on product.
- Calculates percent defective on inspection results and reconciles components on batch record.
- Loads and unloads vials from turntables.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
Have at minimum 3 years prior visual inspection experience in a manufacturing setting.Pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing experience is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have 20/20 corrected near-point vision. Pass a color deficiency test.
- Must be able to complete repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and lift 25 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to wear company provided disposable, one piece cleanroom clothing, hood, gloves, boots, googles, mask.
- Must be able to read/write English fluently.
- Proficiency in performing basic math problems, including calculating percentages and ratios.
- Follow Good Documentation practices and be able to accurately document activities in Batch
Records and logbooks.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
