Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Create lesson plans that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
-Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
-Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities
-Employ a variety of instructional strategies that engage students at a high level
-Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district and state curriculum standards
-Regularly assess and monitor student progress and achievement
-Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning
-Create a positive classroom environment that supports effective teaching and learning
-Manage student behavior in the classroom through implementation of behavior strategies
-Regularly communicate student progress with parents/caregivers
-Maintain accurate records
-Participate in ongoing professional development/training
-Attend required faculty/staff meetings
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
-Massachusetts Elementary Certification required
-A demonstrated belief that each student can achieve at high levels
-A demonstrated dedication to lifelong learning, reflection, and continued personal and professional growth
-Excellent Interpersonal and collaborative teamwork skills.
