Description
The Ultrasound Technologist works directly with patients and physicians and operates equipment that uses high-frequency sound waves to take images and scans of the body's internal organs. During the ultrasound, the ultrasound technologist may take measurements, calculate values, and interpret images. Position does require on call status and various shifts.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program and have an ARMDS or ARRT certification. Two years experience and radiology and CT cross-training preferred.
