Job Summary
The Accountant provides financial support within our business in order to carry out day-to-day accounting activities. This role works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities include: Review and prepare income and expense statements, balance sheet, and month end account reconciliations. Confirm and resolve statement conflicts. Prepare monthly journal entries and complete month end bank close process. Support internal and external audit processes. Assist with quarterly P&L reporting. Prepare and review routine Financial Monitoring and Controls reporting. With a payroll processing vendor process payroll. Oversee AR/AP functions, Calculate Commission earnings, ad hoc management reporting, Special projects as needed and additional duties as assigned . Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Willingness and eagerness to learn and take on new tasks
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting including relevant internship(s) Minimum 5 years accounting in small to medium sized business entity with broad responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, advanced formulas. Comprehensive familiarity with QuickBooks software, and like kind accounting programs.
