ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYA well-established, mission-driven memory care organization is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the overall operations of one of its communities. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a dedicated team, support residents and families, and ensure high-quality services in a regulated senior living environment.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational, financial, and people-management skills, and a genuine commitment to serving individuals living with memory loss.POSITION SUMMARYThe Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the community, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role provides oversight of all departments, supports resident care and family engagement, manages financial performance, and promotes a positive culture for residents and staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide overall leadership for community operations, ensuring services are delivered in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirementsLead, coach, and support department leaders through hiring, training, performance management, and professional developmentFoster a positive, engaged workplace culture that supports staff retention and accountabilityOversee resident services, including family communication, resident assessments, care planning support, and response to concerns or requestsEnsure resident rights are protected and quality of life initiatives are consistently supportedCoordinate and support sales and marketing efforts, including move-in and transition processesMaintain accurate operational and compliance records, including census, reports, and required documentationManage community finances, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and invoice approvalsAuthorize purchases and ensure appropriate use of resourcesOversee building, grounds, and life-safety systems to ensure a safe and well-maintained environmentDevelop and implement emergency preparedness plans, including drills and staff trainingEnsure compliance with all licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements through audits, reporting, and ongoing monitoringBuild and maintain effective relationships with families, vendors, community partners, and regulatory agenciesParticipate in professional associations and community activities as appropriateSupport special events, staff meetings, and resident programsProvide leadership coverage for other departments as neededLEADERSHIP & SUPERVISIONDirectly supervise department heads and ensure clear expectations, accountability, and performance feedbackApprove hiring decisions, disciplinary actions, promotions, and compensation changesEnsure effective onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for all staffAddress operational and personnel issues proactively and collaborativelyQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in business, public administration, healthcare administration, social services, or a related field (advanced coursework preferred)Minimum of five years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or human services administration or two years in an Assistant Administrator or comparable leadership role within a senior living communityStrong working knowledge of senior living operations, regulatory compliance, and team leadershipExperience with budgeting, financial oversight, and operational planningAbility to build trust with residents, families, and staff in a service-focused environmentLICENSURE & REQUIREMENTSCurrent, valid State Administrator license or equivalent, as requiredFirst Aid and CPR certificationSuccessful completion of required background clearance

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
