What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Memory Care of The Triad?
Maintain the day-to-day operations and to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property under the direction of the Executive Director of Memory Care of the Triad
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO INCLUDE (but not limited to):
Ensures that quality services are rendered by department in meeting resident needs, and that the environment is maintained in a clean and orderly manner free of hazards.
Establishes and enforces procedures for security of resident and community property.
Complies and reports accurate status of residents room to the Executive Director. Empty rooms must be ready for move-ins at all times and are to be checked daily.
Maintains security keys.
Performs all maintenance functions inside and outside of residence. (Paint, building repair, equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.)
Responds to reported maintenance problems/issues. Inspects community for potential maintenance problems on an ongoing basis.
Maintains all equipment in good working function.
Maintains outdoor grounds and outside building.
Reports immediately to Executive Director any concerns about the building, grounds, or safety issues.
Does not have access to residents medical record under HIPAA policies and procedures.
Communicates continuously with the Executive Director and other department heads regarding deficiencies and ensures that corrective action is taken.
Maintains energy management practices, policies, and procedures.
Assists with transportation of residents and staff as needed.
Maintains departmental communication through the effective use of logbooks, and bulletin boards.
Participates in management programs as necessary.
Works with other department heads as necessary to resolve resident complaints.
Responsible for vehicle maintenance, grounds appearance (landscaping, snow removal, etc.)
Responsible for waste removal and recycling.
Additional duties as assigned by Executive Director.
JOB STANDARDS
High School Graduate
Must be able to take accurate inventories, maintain records and files, maintain par stocks.
Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, kneel, push, pull, twist using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous manner under all circumstances.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
