Press Operator

Job Summary:

The Vinyl Press Operator operates a vinyl record pressing machine to produce high-quality records. This

position is also required to check the finished product for good quality.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Start and shut down presses & monitor their operations

• Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality of finished product

• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area

• Consistently meet production schedule plan by reading and understanding the schedule

• Complete necessary documentation for jobs being pressed and completed

• Maintain a constant visual on product produced and perform visual quality inspections on

records pressed on your machines

• Determine and report press and product malfunctions to appropriate personnel

• Communicate effectively with managers, supervisor and other associates

• Follow all safety and company policies and procedures

• Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow and read instructions/schedules to carry out assignments

• Comfortable in working around heavy duty machinery in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all associates

• Ability to handle a physically demanding workload - standing for long periods of time, heavy

lifting and moving

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Education and Experience:

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Potential lifting of up to 60 lbs.

Extended periods of standing, lifting and moving

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
