A Camera Operator for the Memphis Redbirds is a game day position that works as part of the Gameday Presentation team to execute the in-house shows during all Memphis Redbirds home games. The Camera Operator is responsible for running a broadcast/ENG camera while covering the game action assigned to their specific camera position. The Camera Operator plays a key role in enhancing the game day experience for fans. The incumbent must be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment wherein critical thinking and the ability to effectively follow direction are essential.

- Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings each game
- Run-through and get comfortable with all camera controls/specific camera position responsibilities
- Maintain situational awareness during the entire game and inning breaks
- Follow leads from game day Director and Manager, Event Production
- Work with the control room team to execute high quality shows
- Provide general support to the Game Presentation Department
- Other duties as assigned
- Prior experience with sports, events or live production preferred
- Willingness to operate wireless/handheld camera
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work the entire event including pre- and post-game activities
- General understanding of the game of baseball
- Works well in fast-paced/live event, high pressure situations
