MEMS offers college level training at our headquarters in downtown Little Rock. MEMS' EMT-B training, otherwise known as Rookie School, is usually held 3 times each year.

To be considered for MEMS EMT Rookie School, you must meet these requirements:
Licensed EMTs with no experience receive a starting base annual salary of$32,000 and full benefits (Hourly rate is calculated based on shifts assigned). After 1 year of service, base pay increases to $34,340.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arkansas driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Minimum age of 19
- Must be physically fit and able to pass a physical examination
- Must have acceptable scores on thecollege placement Accuplacer exam, which is offered onsite at MEMS at no cost
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass a criminal background check
