Description

You are responsible for creating, modifying, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure and individual system components that enable business functions and IT Services. Balance availability, security, efficiency, and functional requirements to help provide an optimized production service. Proactively Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensure these risks are effectively identified and escalated to be measured, monitored, and controlled. You will take the lead to research and provide solutions to complex problems. This position requires minimal to no supervision on multiple concurrent complex projects and the ability to coordinate the work of others. The System Engineer is a senior member of their collaborative team; as a technical expert, this position will also actively participate in the mentorship and development of mid-level and junior-level teammates. This role includes defined levels of access to server infrastructure, with protocols in place for expanding access on a needs-based scenario to ensure the engineer can effectively maintain and support our infrastructure.

You Will

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage existing and emerging risks associated with business activities and the job role, ensuring compliance with written risk policies and procedures
  • Independently diagnose and resolve complex system and production issues, leveraging best practices in troubleshooting and quality control to improve system performance and uptime.
  • Troubleshoot hardware including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers (local and networked), and other peripheral devices
  • Lead special technology projects as required to research and implement new technologies and best practices, driving innovation within the organization
  • Provide hands-on System support, system maintenance, and operation support, acting as a key player and mentor in the day-to-day functionality of our services
  • Create and maintain documentation for self-service and team knowledge base
  • Build, configure, and troubleshoot application deployments and infrastructure upgrades, showcasing strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Cross-collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated helpdesk tickets within the established SLAs
  • Support large implementations in a multi-location environment
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, providing timely support for critical system issues to ensure operational continuity

Requirements

You Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 7 years experience of IT experience
  • 5 years of experience working in enterprise environments
  • 1 years of experience working with a helpdesk/ticketing system
  • Extensive knowledge and experience understanding industry best practices on network architecture and engineering experience in a robust network, product/service, and system design, security, and implementation strategies.
  • 1 years of experience working with hyper-converged server environments and using automated deployment and maintenance technologies
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal calmly, positively, and professionally in elevated situations
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures for network and server devices
  • Net , Sec , or equivalent preferred
