About the Opticyte Ocular Matrix

Designed for patient comfort, Opticyte Matrix is a human extracellular matrix derived from amniotic tissue for the protection of corneal surfaces. The matrix acts as a protective barrier to shield the ocular surface from the external environment.

Job Overview

As a Clinical Sales Specialist at Merakris Therapeutics, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and sales of the Opticyte Ocular Matrix within your designated territory. By leveraging your sales expertise, you will engage with healthcare professionals via the phone and using online tools to deliver impactful presentations and achieve ambitious sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to promote the Opticyte Ocular Matrix to ophthalmologists, optometrists, and surgical centers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • Presentations and Product Education:
  • Conduct persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations, effectively communicating the clinical advantages and applications of the Opticyte Ocular Matrix.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to healthcare professionals, ensuring they are well-versed in the product’s benefits and applications.
  • Market Analysis and Insights:
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and enhance customer engagement.
  • Provide valuable insights and feedback to the Merakris team to support product development and marketing efforts.
  • Reporting and Administration:
  • Maintain meticulous records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory management via CRM.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports detailing progress, challenges, and opportunities within your territory.
  • Collaboration and Networking:
  • Work collaboratively with the Merakris Therapeutics team to align marketing strategies and promotional initiatives.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the Opticyte Ocular Matrix and expand your professional network.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience in the medical or healthcare industry, preferably with a focus on ophthalmology or related fields.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong self-motivation, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Experience using CRM platforms like HubSpot and SalesForce for managing outreach and sales activities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • A high degree of professionalism, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • A willingness to travel as needed to trade shows or for other business purposes.
