Location: Mercer Island, WA

Base Compensation: $6,000 Travel Stipends Potential Performance Bonuses

Start Date: Fall 2025 (Tournaments begin January 2026)

We are launching a brand-new select softball program on Mercer Island, The Mercer Island Blue Angels, and are looking for a dedicated, positive, and knowledgeable 12U Coach to lead our inaugural team of driven and talented athletes. If you’re passionate about player development, creating a supportive environment, and helping girls grow on and off the field—this is the opportunity for you.

About the Role

• Lead Coach for a 12U select softball team in its founding season
   

• 2 team practices per week, starting Fall 2025
   

• Indoor training at Boost Baseball in Factoria
   

• Outdoor field time at South Mercer Playfields
   

• Competitive tournament season begins in January 2026
   

• Develop a season-long training plan focusing on individual skill development, team strategy, and mental toughness
   

• Travel with the team to local and regional tournaments
   

• Foster a positive, growth-oriented team culture where athletes feel encouraged and empowered

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Previous competitive playing experience in softball or prior coaching experience in competitive softball/baseball
   

• Strong knowledge of game strategy, player development, and youth sports dynamics
   

• Demonstrated ability to lead with confidence, empathy, and enthusiasm
   

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, especially when working with girls ages 10–12
   

• Must pass background check and adhere to youth sports safety standards
   

Compensation & Perks
