Summary of Position (hybrid):
Supporting role in coordinating and maintaining docket dates for Merchant & Gould's patent and trademark clients.
Responsibilities:
- Review and distribution of incoming/outgoing US and International mail
- Record development in multiple software applications
- Matter management, Inprotech and WebTMS
- Timekeeping, Elite
- Communication to attorney/secretary/client regarding PT or TM portfolio
- Generate and distribute reports from multiple software applications
- Examine, compare, verify and confirm that all information within the client record is accurate
- Special projects as assigned
- 1-2 years patent or trademark prosecution experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Outstanding service attitude and ability to remain flexible in changing tasks
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills
- Aptitude for basic math (addition/subtraction of dates, etc)
- Paralegal certificate and/or college degree preferred
- Excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Regular attendance at work
