Role Description
MCP is seeking a Senior Associate to join its investment team in New York or Miami. This role is designed for a high-performing early-career professional with an investment banking, credit research or consulting background who is eager to take on meaningful responsibility in a growing credit platform.
The ideal candidate is analytically strong, highly organized, comfortable with a high volume of work, and able to communicate clearly through Excel-based analysis, written materials and PowerPoint presentations.
The role blends portfolio monitoring, borrower engagement, and recurring reporting with exposure to underwriting and internal investment processes as the platform continues to scale.
Responsibilities
- Support monitoring and management of a growing portfolio of borrower relationships
- Prepare for and participate in recurring borrower interactions, including quarterly review calls
- Analyze borrower financials, performance trends, and key risks; maintain internal monitoring and reporting materials
- Own recurring portfolio servicing and reporting workflows, including preparation of internal and shareholder-facing materials
- Support underwriting and diligence for new investment opportunities, including financial analysis and research
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models and scenario analyses
- Prepare clear, well-structured PowerPoint materials for internal reviews and investment discussions
- Partner with colleagues across MCP to improve processes, reporting and efficiency over time
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, credit research, or consulting
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; high analytical aptitude
- Strong PowerPoint skills with a high bar for clarity and presentation quality
- Clear written and verbal communicator; able to synthesize complex information
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Based in New York or Miami to support regular, in-person collaboration with the team
