Loan Originator Assistant Position: 3 Years Bridge Loan Processing Experience in Residential Bridge Financing & Ground Up Construction. $48,000 base salary, plus bonus per closed loan file

Role Summary/Purpose
The Loan Originator Assistant will be responsible for assisting Senior Loan Originator to prepare excel loan writeups and to collect necessary documents from Borrowers to create complete files for credit committee and processing to close each loan for Merchants Mortgage & Trust’s various Bridge Loan programs. Candidates should have relevant experience in providing assistance to Loan Originators in documenting and helping oversee the closing process with loan borrowers active in the residential real estate Fix & Flip & Ground Up construction space. Candidates should be highly motivated, have strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a competitive fast-moving Fix and Flip loan space. Candidates should be highly organized as they will need to help Senior Loan Originator manage multi loan closing on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
Help Loan Originator maintain their book of business and assist them on a daily basis so they don’t get bogged down with Administrative tasks needed to process the loan so they can concentrate on loan origination and sales.
Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with borrowers
Obtain all required paperwork and financial information from perspective borrowers
Identify missing documents and collect said documents needed from borrower quickly in order to hit very short closing timelines
Ability to fill out Loan Writeup forms outlining the loan and borrowers specific transaction details for Credit committee and Loan processing to utilize to approve and close on loan transaction
Ability to communicate with Borrowers effectively and to convey urgency when needed on a regular basis regarding info needed in order to complete the loan file and move loan efficnetaly toward closing

Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
3 or more years of experience processing bridge loans
Excel, Word and basic computer skills
