Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for assuring that all Emergency Records are prepped, scanned, indexed and analyzed in the Horizon Patient Folder document imaging system with the highest level of accuracy possible and meets a 24-hour turnaround time.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in a Health Information Department
- High school degree or equivalent
- Reasoning, mathematical, typing, excellent English required
- Strong communication skills are required to clearly and effectively communicate with department customers
- Must have good understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifiations:
- Formal education in Anatomy and Physiology or Human Biology or related training preferred
- Two-year degree preferred
