Warehouse Assistant

Mercy Ships is seeking a Warehouse Assistant who is responsible for shipping, receiving and inventory control in Lindale, Texas. What you’ll contribute:

- Liaise and communicate with Logistics Manager & Warehouse Personnel, Medical Supplies Manager and Procurement Coordinators regarding supplies.

- Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments.

- Sorts and places materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined organizational system such as size, type, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information.

- Utilizes material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.

- Provide efficient warehousing organization, re-packing and shipping services.

- Maintain updated spreadsheet/computerized inventory data to facilitate efficient receiving, warehousing and shipping of medical/dental equipment and supplies.

For this role, you’ll need:

- Easily adaptable in a changing environment

- Must possess a valid TX driver’s license. Forklift license preferred.

- Must be proficient with computers including the ability to use company databases, Warehouse Inventory System Software, Microsoft Office, especially Excel, E-mail systems, and internet.

- High School Diploma or its equivalent required.

- Must be able to lift supplies (up to 50 lbs.).

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.

- The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk and climb.
