Overview
The Medical Biller is a remote position with requirements to be located within 2 hours drive from Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
As a Medical Biller, you will routinely review medical charts to bill according to the defined rules. You will work independently with resources available for assistance. Every day, you will be attentive to detailed information with various health insurance carriers.
To thrive in this role, you must rely on your knowledge of the rules of medical billing and apply these rules in a consistent routine. Must have two years of medical billing or accounts receivable experience.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Prepare medical claims through a routine structure applying your medical billing knowledge
- Verify health insurance by communicating with insurance carriers
- Assist patients with billing questions and take payments
- Assist clinic coworkers with insurance and billing questions
- Communicate with providers and review details of the medical charts
- Assist with weekly billing routine as assigned in rotation
- Research and work through denied claims
