Mercy Breast Surgery is currently seeking a board certified or board eligible surgeon to join our practice in Joplin, MO. Must be Breast Fellowship trained. Practice at one location, Mercy Hospital Joplin with option for outreach.
Mercy Breast Surgery:
- Work in a collegial environment with Medical Oncology, Breast Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Infusion Therapy, Diagnostics (PET/CT), Social Work, Nutrition, Chaplin, Dieticians, Cancer-Dedicated research RNs, Support Groups and more
- 100% Breast Surgery Practice
- No General Surgery or ER call
- Fully accredited by the Commission on Cancer
- Plastic Surgery available for immediate reconstruction
- Very limited trained breast surgeons in our service area, quick ramp up period
- EMR is EPIC
- Opportunity to teach medical students and stipends awarded
This Position Offers:

- State-of-the-art, 250 bed, Level II Trauma, Mercy Hospital Joplin contains the latest technologies and design innovations. Opened in 2015.
- Offers specialty care on its main campus and supports primary care clinics throughout the community, serving more than 19 Joplin-area counties.
- Region’s only facility to offer all private rooms.
- Services include Telemedicine, Birthing Center, sophisticated ICU and NICU, state-of-the-art Emergency Department: level II trauma center, and an Accredited Cancer Center.

- Surgery (11 O.R.s with space for 3 additional O.R’s 700 sq ft rooms)
- 50 Pre-Op/Post-Op rooms

- 1 Da Vince Robot with plans on acquiring a 2nd robot
