LPN Overview:
The LPN will provide professional nursing care to patients of the clinic under direction of the physician or advanced practice nurse.
LPN Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Must have a current LPN license to practice in the state of Arkansas.
- Certifications: CPR Certification desired
- Other: Phlybotomy skills, CLIA waved clinical test skills preferred.
- Preferred Experience: One year professional nursing experience preferred.
- Preferred Other: Family practice knowledge preferred
MA Overview:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
MA Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year work experience in a public contact job.
- Certifications: Must maintain CPR certification
- Knowledge: Knowledge of health care field and medical specialties. Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families.
- Special Skills: CPR, EKG and Blood Pressure skills; basic computer knowledge; communication skills. Skill in performing assistance tasks appropriately. Skill in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions. Skill in understanding of patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families.
- Abilities: Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures. Ability to project a pleasant and professional image. Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks. Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
- Preferred Education: Completion of MA or CNA training program consisting of classroom and clinical training.
- Preferred Experience: Prior direct patient care experience.
- Preferred Certifications: Credentialed as a CMA, RMA or CCMA or other approved MA credential.
- Preferred Other: Experience with EPIC
