Overview:

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

"Our Environmental Services Team helps create a lasting impression of our hospital to patients and visitors!"

Our EVS staff are a crucial part of ensuring each and every patient is provided a clean, quiet, and calming environment.

This position requires our coworkers to be moving around the hospital for majority of their shift. Performs all other duties as assigned.

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all types of floor surfaces, wall, and upholstered furniture.This position also may be required to perform all the tasks of Housekeeper, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• While we would prefer someone with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, we would be delighted to provide on the job training to help you succeed here at Mercy
• Housekeepers are expected to interact with our patients, visitors, and coworkers in a warm and friendly manner while cleaning their rooms
• Previous experience in healthcare or hospitality field is helpful
• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and resolve housekeeping issues
• Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards; cleaning equipment use; proper care procedures for various types of floors, carpets, fabrics and wall covering
• Ability to lift and carry heavy and bulky objects
• Ability to work rapidly and correctly on tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to operate various types of floor care equipment.
