Overview:
The GIG Nursing Program is designed to complement the full and part-time core nursing staff at Mercy Hospital. GIG nurses are highly skilled Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses who commit to work flexible hours. Participation in the GIG Nursing Program requires scheduling a minimum number of hours, available on short notice, being flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation. The GIG Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and will be the first for cancellation.

Qualifications:
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Experience: Minimum 1 years’ LPN experience specialty specific or equivalent, must be within the last year.
- Certifications: BLS certified. IV-Certification or completion of a qualified course. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years LPN experience.
