What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Occupational Health position at Mercy?
- The MA will assess and process patients; perform physical preparations for physician; assist physician as needed.
- Provide office procedures such as urine collections, pulmonary function tests, audiograms, breath alcohol tests, etc.
- Medically managed workers compensation cases; this staff nurse provides health and educational services for employees.
Qualifications for Medical Assistant:

Medical Assistant I
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- or at least one year of applicable patient care experience
Medical Assistant II
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred and/or at least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
Medical Assistant III
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and 3 years of experience
- Certification/Registration is required (RMA or CMA)
