Mercy Joplin Clinic is seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) Pacemaker Technician to join our team.

Overview:
- The Pacemaker Tech works under the supervision of the Pacemaker Coordinator and Practice Manager, and assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e.,pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, and other assessments as required by site), and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Performs interrogation and transtelephonic monitoring of pacemakers and defibrillators. Will also assist in filing and preparation of charts within the pacemaker clinic. Demonstrates a basic working knowledge of pacemaker and defibrillator functions. Is able to identify cardiac rhythm abnormalities and safely interogate and identify device malfunctions and failures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1-2 years clinical experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS
