YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
We are looking for a Chemistry Technician in 2835 N Oak Grove, Springfield, MO 65803 USA. Your mission will be to:
To hire a Chemistry Technician to perform or assist in sample testing in the
chemistry lab. The position is essential to support the company business needs
and to meet customer requirement. The schedule of the position will be Monday - Friday, 8 am -5 pm with
flexibility as required.
Job Duties:
Perform equipment calibrations or
daily checks as directed by Chemist or Lab Manager.
Prepare standards and reagents and
ensure correct labeling and storage.
Take inventory and relieve
inventory as requested.
Weigh and prepare samples according
to procedure.
Perform analysis or assist Chemist
with analysis as directed.
Enter or review analytical data as
directed.
Clean and prepare lab glassware for
future analysis use.
Perform necessary housekeeping
duties in a timely manner, keeping the work areas and equipment clean and
organized.
Adhere to all safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School diploma or 1-2 years of higher education preferred.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task, work quickly
while maintaining accuracy, and pay attention to detail.
Understanding of normality, molarity and percent solutions.
Understand basic math calculations.
Computer skills- data entry, spreadsheets
YOUR PROFILE
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee frequently is required to lift 5-10 lbs. and on occasion up to 20 lbs. The employee must be able to manipulate/hold lab apparatus with a steady hand. The employee must be able to interpret all colors of the visible spectrum and hear within tolerable ranges.
