Merit is a contract manufacturer that makes personal care products, cleaning products, and much more. We formulate, mix, bottle, and ship products for nationwide brands.

Merit is located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where we have two facilities less than a mile apart. We’ve poured over 15 million products and served over 13 million end users. Our continued growth has forced us to move locations 3 times in the last 3 years, and while we don’t expect to need a new warehouse soon, we aren’t planning to slow down.

Summary of the Position:

The Warehouse Warlord is responsible for managing our warehouse which means ensuring that our inventory is being tracked properly as shipments in and out are getting received and dispatched in our MRP. You will manage our other warehouse employees to keep our warehouse organized and clean.

We inventory goods for our customers, so you will be responsible for maintaining and reporting accurate inventory counts to customers on a weekly and monthly basis. We also undergo semiannual audits that require that our inventory quantities be verified by a third party.

The Warehouse Warlord helps handle the daily operations of the warehouse including unloading and receiving trucks at our main facility, transferring products and components between facilities, and keeping our warehouse organized on a day to day basis.

The Warlord needs to be an excellent forklift driver and proficient with computers.

• Drive stand-up and sit down forklifts
• Drive a 26ft box truck short distances on a daily basis
• Receive inventory into our MRP system
• Record transfers in our MRP system
• Accurately cycle count inventory

Qualifications:

• Reliability
• Forklift Experience
• Shipping and Receiving Experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to Stand for Longer than 1 Hour
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy with Numbers
• Quick Learner
