What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician Cardiac Rehab- Hagerstown Heart position at Meritus Health?
The clinician cares for patients by using independent judgment to assess and treat their responses to actual or potential health problems in the acute, sub-acute care and/or outpatient setting through implementation of the nursing process. Coordinates care with other disciplines. Delegates tasks to other nursing staff members. Supervises staff in the delivery of care and evaluates results. Maintains and demonstrates competencies in clinical practice standards through participation in professional committees and organizations.
Education – Bachelors Degree in health care, nursing, respiratory therapy or other related health care field with 2 years experience in area of specialty or related specialty or Associates Degree in health care, nursing or other related health care field with a minimum of 5 years experience in area of specialty or related specialty.
Experience – Minimum of two years experience working with cardiac patients and monitoring telemetry.
Licensure/Certification – Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy. Current ACLS in compliance with policy.
