Meritus Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health Services. Due to retirement and expansion, we are seeking an additional provider. BHS is a component of Meritus Health, providing adult psychiatry services in the Washington County, MD community. Inpatients are cared for in Meritus Medical Center. The inpatient unit is an 18 bed, locked-door unit that accepts both voluntary and involuntary patients ages 18 and up. The average daily census is 13 with a 3.5 day average length of stay. We also provide consultative services on other floors on referral from hospitalists and other attending physicians. The outpatient setting is in a large medical mall attached to the hospital. Outpatient care is complemented by Master prepared therapists and an EAP program. Psychiatrists have the flexibility to conduct psychotherapy in the outpatient practice. Call is scheduled equitably at 1:5. J1 Visa sponsorship is available to qualified candidates.
