Barista

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Temporary/On-Call Barista responsible for providing our guests with the finest drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service at a retail dining operation located in the heart of Richmond, VA. 

    *This role has a tentative start date of January 2, 2025

Must be able to work as follows:

• Temporary/On-Call
• Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm or as needed 
• Pay range: $16-$18 per hour      
  
  

What you will do:

• Make and serve specialty coffee, tea, and additional hot/cold beverages
• Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage item
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation including, but not limited to, sweeping and mop floors of cafe and severy, emptying trash cans, cleaning grinders, etc.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items
• Maintain stock of cafe inventory

What you need: 

• Must be able to pass an FBI background check    
• Previous Barista and/or Cafe experience in brewing/crafting coffee beverages required 
• POS experience preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties
• High School Diploma or equivalent
