Merrell Bros., Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver with END-DUMP Trailer or WALKING FLOOR Trailer or TANKER Trailer experience. Utilizing Newer Equipment - Trucks 2016-21; Automatic making local trips daily. All work between 5AM-4PM M-F and potential half day Saturday from 6a.m-12 p.m. if extra loads during busy season or you want the hours. No touch freight. Safe driving, a positive attitude and the desire to make a good income will result in great weekly pay for this full-time role. Responsibilities and Duties
Our Florida Division specializes in providing dry or liquid bio-solid transportation services for large waste water treatment plants throughout Florida. Our staff of trained personnel provide timely service and efficient operations.
- Transport raw materials over on/off-road roadways to and from municipalities, landfills, or for other recycling centers
- Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations

- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
- Truck driving school diploma/certification a plus
- Valid commercial driving license
Salary: Starting at $23.00 per hour: negotiable based on environmental trucking experience: walking floor, dump trailer, tanker work experience (preferred)
