What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master's Level Clinician/Therapist position at Merrimack Center?
Who We Are Looking For:
Are you the Clinician we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!
This position is based within an Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP). This role provides individual, group, and family therapy to a caseload of five.
The Clinician is an integral member of the resident’s interdisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for the development of individually tailored treatment plans, as well as all case documentation utilizing the JRI electronic medical record system.
The Clinician will be expected to maintain professionalism and work alongside other professionals, within DMH, and as needed with other agencies. Clinical supervision is provided and licensure supported. This full time position is Monday through Friday.
Who We Are:
The Merrimack Center, a DMH licensed and JCAHO accredited program, provides exceptional residential services for adolescents ages 13 to 18 with major mental illness, intellectual disabilities, autism and complex trauma histories. We provide comprehensive therapeutic care including an onsite special education school, full onsite clinical services, nursing staff, occupational therapy, and a 24 hour therapeutic milieu within a locked residential treatment program.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
YOU will be responsible for the clinical care of youth while in our program, as well as coordination and support related to clinical care.
YOU?will be able to develop your skills in providing treatment and comprehensive assessments for our students through individual, group, and family therapy.
YOU will be able to develop innovative and individualized treatment plans to support our students as they work toward reaching their clinical and treatment goals.
YOU will be able support residents as they develop and practice stress management and regulation skills.
YOU will be able to provide crisis intervention when needed to residents.
YOU will be able to provide case management/communication for residents assigned to caseload.
YOU will be able to participate in data collection and analysis to create individual behavioral plans.
YOU will be able to model trauma informed care.

Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age.
COVID-19 vaccination required.
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW) or license-eligible master’s level clinician.
Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting residents is required.
